DetoxDenim WITH A LOWER CARBON FOOTPRINT
NO HARMFUL CHEMICALS – AND LESS EFFECT ON THE CLIMATE
NO HARMFUL CHEMICALS – AND LESS EFFECT ON THE CLIMATE
5 years after launching its DetoxDenim collection, ARMEDANGELS is widening its view: always produced without harmful chemicals, the Cologne based brand is also increasingly optimizing the carbon footprint of the DetoxDenim range. Every product, even more sustainable jeans have a carbon footprint. This depends on many different factors, such as material composition, dyeing and finishing processes, as well as transport routes.
In collaboration with Carbonfact, ARMEDANGELS calculated the CO2 emissions of its DetoxDenim fall collection - from raw material to finished product. This shows that individual options cause up to 50% less CO2 in production than the average jeans sold in Europe. ARMEDANGELS wants to provide more transparency, comparability and awareness through communication so that consumers can make more informed buying decisions. As a company, ARMEDANGELS follows strict chemical standards according to GOTS certification and produces close to Europe in order to reduce transportation distance. Emphasis is placed on the increased use of recycled cotton instead of virgin fiber - the percentage of recycled cotton in the jeans range has grown from 5% to 37% year on year. This reflects ARMEDANGELS' mission to make products that people love and that are least harmful to the planet.
